List a skill on the marketplaces that exist now, Agensi, skills.sh, SkillsMP, MCP Market, and the buyer installs the actual file. One purchase later they hold a perfect copy of your work.
A marketplace cannot keep serious sellers if the product it ships is a copy of their IP.

A run takes one of two shapes. Hosted — you send inputs and get output back, nothing of yours exposed; the diagram above is a Hosted run. Connected — the skill works on files in your own project, inside a scope you grant, so it does the work in place. Hosted hands back a result; Connected does the work in your project — and neither one ever hands you the file. The containment claims are written up in full on the containment page.
Honest note. The core property — the skill body never reaching the buyer — is enforced in code and covered by tests on every path. We are early, and deliberately first-party: the catalog today is fifteen skills we built and run ourselves, priced per call, while we recruit the first outside sellers. Judge them yourself.

Send inputs, get the result back. You pay a small amount per successful run instead of buying and maintaining a file you then have to keep current. Every listing has a public page — a $0.10-per-call example you can read.

Skills that do things
If the value is the method, how it transforms, analyzes, refactors, or acts on the work, that method stays on our cloud. The buyer gets results, not instructions.
Skills that dispense a document
If the whole value is a block of text it hands back, the output is the IP. Unprotectable by anyone, by definition. So sell doing, not dispensing.
